Title: smokey 2.0....

Thinking of a possible project, it's a 2.0 Tourer which is "down on power" and "smokes quite badly" when warm

It's at a stupidly low price... just wondering whether to go for it or not. I can't be arsed if the smoking is likely to be the rings - what are the chances of piston ring problems?

If it's stem seals then easy peasy...

If its when warm, then doubt it would be stem seals...

Did they say what color the smoke was??
