Title: Fault code 10,3,4,10 - 2ltr V reg
Post by: wayneywoo on 16 March 2008, 14:42:29
Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that the above fault code is the camshaft sensor, what sort of job it is and how much a replacement sensor will be?

I've done the paperclip test and I get repeated over and over 10 slight pause 3 slight pause 4 slight pause 10 longer pause then it repeats.

Thanks guys!

edit: Sorry, forgot to say it seems the engine light comes on when the car is cold and the fault I get is a rev limit at around 4500rpm and very sluggish to pull away.  Seems more like a 1.4 than a 2.0ltr  Does this all sound familiar to anyone?

Cam Sensor fault  :y

Easy to replace, lift the wiring tray off, release the aux belt, release the cambelt cover and remove the bolt between the cam sprockets holding the sensor in place.

Remove the Ecotec strip off the top of the engine and pull the sensor up using the cable IIRC.
