Title: Thump/knock sound from front wheel

When I turn the wheels when not moving (i.e. to get out of a parking space), i get an almightly thump sound from the front left wheel - sounds like something coming out!

doesnt happen in normal driving.

you may have a broken spring or a seized bearing on top of the suspension strut

or a knackered wishbone bush
