Title: Under the boot floor is...?
Post by: philhoward on 19 March 2008, 21:22:03
In all honesty, just because I can't get sufficently under the car to look properly...given its dark when i get home and my ramps are buried at the back of the garage!

About to bolt the LPG tank down, but want to check what might be under the boot floor between the wheel arches (specifically within 30mm of the edge of the carpet) between the seats and where the spare wheel flap hinges.  I guess its the fuel tank?  Will be using either through bolts, or have some M8 self tapping screws to try out...

Anyone know how close it comes to the edge of the wheel well?

If you remove the circular access hatch front right of the boot floor, you will find the fuel tank.

You will then be able to guess at the clearance, if you think it's a good idea. Cable and pipe runs are another thing.

I would like to know just what I was drilling into, maybe drop the tank?

Granted - making new vent holes in the tank wasn't really in my plan!!
