hi,im not saying im a sticky driver,lol,but my door lock gets stuck in the open position when i use fob to lock the doors,some days its fine and other days it just wont work(all 3 other doors work fine),i have looked through the service records and receipts to see that it has been changed in the past too.is this common and can i repair it myself,ie just a lube problem or something easy...cheers

you could try taking door card off and spraying some grease in the door lock or could be your central locking soleniod has packed up !! :y

had same problem with my 3.0 elite, changed front solanoide, all is well now, look on e bay, i paid a tenna, well worth it

If it still works a bit then I found cleaning up all the linkages / lock etc. with WD40 then fresh grease completely cured it. You need to take the door card off to do this.
A simple check is to pull the lock tab up and down with your fingers. It it stiff? How does it compare with the other doors?
The mechanisms do just seize up.

Don't throw your old lock motor away, it is probably repairable.
Dismantle it and check the two microswitches, one probably has high resistance contacts.
Change the switch and off you go.
