i got my n reg miggy a month ago and had em light on when i got her changed the battery the next day as when i drove to a mates it would not start for a new battery from halfords no probs with stating or electrics since the but still got em light on crank sensor was nearly dead so have changed that and just done paper clip test and got these codes
48 low battery
92 cam sensor
i know about the cam sensor and how to replace any ideas about the low battery one (the battery is full and no probs with the car)
-
The ECU will store codes for a number of clean starts so it might well be a left over from the duff battery.
-
the car has had its new battery now for a month and has been in constant use thought it could only hold the code for 20 -25 restarts :-/

I asume its had that many good starts?
Is the ECU light on, I guess it is due to the cam sensor fault.
I guess its also limiting to 4000ish rpm.
-
no the rpm will go to 5500 in sports mode no probs and 5000 in normal use if i want :-/
-
the only light i have on when it has started is the e/m light :-/pick of engine with a lightning bolt in the middle

Very interesting
Can you measure the battery voltage with the engine revving at 300rpm?
-
no sorry got no volt meter
-
Replace the cam sensor.....
Then clear the codes and see what comes back.
.....Or just clear the codes and see what comes back regardless.
-
ok cheers for all your help will let you know how it goes
-
I thought the low battery one did clear itself after so many clean starts - I know not all codes do though.
