Any tips??
I finally got round to looking at the thing today... 6 months after buying the car! Found out why its goosed... Its not rusted at the bottom, but has been punched through! All the fins are buckled at the bottom of the rad between the engine rad and a/c rad, and looks like something was forced through it, possibly a big stick!
So, next week I intend to fit 'another' rad I have in the garage, then get it all gassed up and leak tested, hopefully will then work!
As I've never removed an Omega radiator, and I can't find a guide... is it just the 2 clips at the top either side holding both in, and 6 bolts holding the a/c rad to the main rad??
Do I need to take the bagpipes out??
Will I need any new bits aswell, such as O-rings or something??
Cheers!

Hi PaulW.
You need to remove the coolant radiator first before you can remove the aircon rad.Somewhere on theguide ther is a "how to"think it was by RolandL and it gives clear instructions.Word of warning though..if you have any aircon coolant in system before you remove pipes it should be removed by an aircon evac system as it is a refrigirant and has an impact on the ozone layer..but expect if rad is holed none in system.Good luck with it...I have recently replaced my coolant rad and it is much easier with all the bagpipes out the way.not a bad job took me about 2 hours and I am a novice.

Well the system will be completely empty, maybe a few drops left, but nothing much.
So...
Bagpipes out
Coolant drained
Radiator(s) unclipped and removed...
Just need to clarify now then if I do need any new o-rings for refitting the new a/c rad???
cheers

Nothing listed on their site for Omega condenser, there is a link on the parts for sale page for a/c parts if memory serves.

Aye checked the other one listed in parts, but it just sells the kits, as I already have the condenser/dryer, just need to know about the o-rings lol

I re-used my o-rings when I changed my condensor last summer.
Original condensor had become porous. No visible damage, just a very slow leak. The faulty condensor even took a pressure test and re-gas. Following day...no workee again.
Swapped condensor over from my other Omega.
Tested...Re-gassed..Happy Days !!!

That's interesting, my 2.6 is losing pressure in two months or so.
No leaks identified, sits at 100 psi with nitrogen on test.
Should I bite the bullet and change the condensor?
