Title: Central Locking problem
Post by: Parkey on 24 March 2008, 13:06:04
I have a 1995 Diesel Omega Estate, which has developed a central locking problem, the interior locks are showing half way open/closed and the drivers door can't be opened using the key, but you can open the passenger side with the key and the drivers door can be unlocked from the inside, the immoboliser can be un-set using the the key fob - any ideas what could be causing the problem??

All locks get stuck between locked and unlocked?

Odd one....

When you say you cant use key in drivers lock, why is that, wrong key?

Pressing the drivers door pin up and down, does that cause other doors to lock/unlock as expected?

I have always used the fob to open it, so I think the lock may be seized, if you press the drivers door pin down or up it doesn't alter the other locks

To me, sounds like drivers door motor has partially failed.  Thats common enough, but never seen it have the effect on other doors...   ...though sounds like yours may be IR type, which I haven't had to many dealings with...
