Title: Strange noise

When I first start my car there is a Whistling noise that lasts about 30 secs. Could this be the air con pump or whatever its called building up pressure? If not, any ideas??  :-[

Possibly the secondary air injection system, the pump is under the left wheel arch. It has the horns mounted on it's frame.
Try unplugging it to see if the noise goes away.
Noise seems quite common from this system, you can either ignore it, or leave the pump unplugged.
