Title: Passenger door jammed advice required
Post by: Raymienets on 03 April 2008, 23:30:02
Anyone any idea how to solve this problem. The passenger door on my omega 2.2 appears to be stuck unable to open from outside the car or inside. when I lock the car The central locking locks the other doors but when I open it again The 3 button on the central locking system come up on the other doors but there is movement in the passenger door one but it will not pop up. Any advice would be greatful. Cheers in advance

Have you tried pulling the button up at the same time as unlocking it ??

Sounds like the actuator is jamming. Get someone to "blip" it while you pull upwards !!

AFAIK you'll need to get the door open to take the card off to fix it :(

The internal door trim is called the "door card" and is removed to access the locking mechanism and window gear ..

I had this problem on my son's Vectra, his rear door would not unlock because the deadlock had jammed.

Couldn't get the door card off with the door shut so all seemed lost until I unplugged the central locking module (behind the panel alongside the drivers footwell on the Vectra) sprayed cotact cleaner on the pins and plugged it back in.

Luckily the door unlocked after that so it may be worth a try before dismantling anything.
