Anyone know if all the ex-police Omega's have an LSD?
Even the one's with traction control?
Thanks,
Declan :y

Nope not all of them did theres a way to tell them through i.d numbers no doubt someone will post how to tell them apart shortly

At the factory, there was a sticky label of some description on the base (ground side) of the diff. Given the age of these cars now, it will be well worn away....

Oh, I know how to tell if they're LSD or not.
But it means jacking the back of the car up and turning a wheel. If both wheels turn the same direction then its an LSD.
But I take it there's no real easy way of doing it?

I know this thread was stated regarding ex-police LSD.
But I was going to post the other day asking asking if the Elites are fitted with LSD's
I know on the carlton range only one I was aware of was the GSI with the LSD
Not sure if any of the Senetors where fitted with them.

i think only ex cop cars got the LSD but you could buy it if you wanted when new but i don,t think many were sold

There should be a plate on the bottom of the diff with two rows of letters/numbers on. The 2nd digit on the second row denotes lsd or not if its an O its non lsd and if its a S it is a lsd.
I beleve this (plate) is a sticker so chances are it wont be there but if it is there you go hope this helps. im sure someone else will be able to confirm/discredit this soon
ps this is not the numbers so the top
