Title: EML light
Post by: Del Boy on 09 April 2008, 15:01:26
I have had a alternator rumble, it is putting out a charge of over 14v so the garage says.
I noticed the other day when i got in the car when it was quite dark when i first started the car up, the display lights and dash lights seemed to being going brighter and dimmer (like a pulsating).
I roared up the road whilst the lights were pulstating and the EML light flickered on and off, any idea's what the problem could be?
Thanks Liam

I have seen mention of a connection within the alternator that can become loose and cause such symptoms. Have a look in the maintenance guides.

Yep, there is a maintenance guide giving info on what to do.

Also, change the bearings (sub 10 quid for the bits) whilst you have it apart to solve your rumbling
