Hi guys and girls, i've just joined the forum but have owned a 98 plate MV6 manual since 2002. A great car which has only let me down twice in that time. I've no idea what i'd replace it with. I've seen quite a few post which mention a Tech 2. I had a look on ebay, they're about 25 quid from china or 35 from USA. Is there any difference? Can I get one from Halfords?
This is a great forum, lets' keep the Omega fleet up and running
Cheers, Paul

there not to bad m8 but not brilliant you can read fault codes if the software dont crash and it is in english sometimes
but you get what you pay for
if you use it once and it works it has paid for its self cos a tech 2 session at vauxhall will cost anything from £45.00 upwards
they are not original tech 2 that vauxhall use

Hello and welcome :)
A real T2 going to set you back a hell of a lot more than £35 quid mate :(
Best the cheapo one will do is the "paper clip" test I would guess... and a whole box of paper clips dont cost £35 :)

It can read fault codes from most systems and reset some codes (i.e. it will turn the airbag light off)

you MUST have a computer with a real com port (usb to serial adapters not good enough)
