ive just been reading a few posts and hadnt noticed before that the 4 tubes at the back of the plenum have no jubilee clips to hold them on, they are very tight anyway but does this matter much or not. they have never moved but should i go and get some first thing tomorrow

The tubes on mine are a straight push fit. Used to be cabletied but, after the last 'doo', I never replaced them. No probs to date....
-
Mine have none either, so i hope it's normal :)
-
Nope, no clips just a tightish dry push on as there are no fluids in there ;)
-
i was getting worried there. can put the toilet lid back down now ;D ;D

Originally the two larger breather pieps would of had some clips fitted......the smaller ones are just push fit.

I have original VX spring type clips on both the 2 outer tubes ,but the 2 inner tubes have no clips .I often wondered if that was correct but looks like mine is ok aswell.
-
.. and just to add to the confusion I have clips on all four of mine. Doubt they'd go far without though, TBH.

And just to put some icing on that confusion...
I have 4 clips on one set in one car and none on the other car...

i had metal clips on the larger two pipes on mine but replaced these with small jubilee clips last week
-
Got them on three of mine! :P
-
Did have two on bigger pipes but got none now ;D :P
-
Mine also has clips on two two outer pips :)
-
any other permutations...?
The original spring clips need the proper tool (or some invention) to reinstall hence why once removed they don't often go back. They are also a prime candidate for dropping down the intake ports so take them off the pipes before lifting the plenum.

I wouldn't use Jubilee clips as they can be over tightened, try cable ties ;)
-
Provided the breathers are clear there should be no pressure buildup and thus cableties are enough to stop the pipes slipping off.....

Yep, cable ties do the trick. :y
