Title: 3.0 Cam Covers, how tight?
Post by: Decky on 18 April 2008, 12:05:21
Should be replacing the cam cover gaskets this evening (if Vauxhall ever get my parts in).

Does anyone know what the torque settings (in NM) are for the gaskets?

Cheers folks :)

Which is not a lot at all........

most torque wrenches do not go this low.    ;)

Absolutely. 8nm seems nothing but it is enough.

If Torque meter doesnt go that low then its basically a touch more than hand tight...
