Post by: prestigesec on 24 April 2008, 08:26:44
Replacing the covers on my 3.0L this week, i heard somewhere that you should use vectra ones as they are metal not plastic is this true? Also would they fit the 3.0L if from a vectra? How much? Thanks in advance

Yes they do fit the omega, but the oil filler is in a diff position and they tend not to leak if the breathers are blocked, this then means the breathers need to be done regular or the oil pressure build up will blow the rear main seal or other seals on the block. :o

i personally would not recommend using vectra ones ! as said oil filler is a nitemare to get to and if you have blocked breathers its got to come out somewere and cam/crank seals are the next in line !!  :y
