Right then chaps,
I love my meega and want to keep her going for as long as possible so i am going to give her some lurvin ;D
My meega has a few knocks etc, soft handling and shite brakes lol
The plan is as follows:
Replace Front lower wishbones

Replace Rear Anti Rollbar bushes
Fit new performace shocks and springs all round (coilovers maybe)
Change front discs and pads for a mintex set
Replace Rear Pads for mintex items
Flush brake fluid with new dot5.1 stuff
Source and Fit a twin elite backbox
Engine work:
Replace Rocker cover gaskets
Clean breather system
Clean Plenums and Throttle Body
Replace Spark Plugs and Leads
Replace Exhuast Manifold Gaskets
Fit new Performance Chip (191 bhp) from germany
Sort out induction feeds (cold air)
Oil and filter change
Oil and filter on Autobox too
You reckon i'll be busy :D
P.S where can i buy an LSD from?
Thanks
Jon

LSD......just keep looking on E-Bay mate they do come up, one has just sold on there today for £163 :o
Lots to keep you busy matey and a tidy sum it will all cost to.
Goodluck.
-

-
Use Genuine cam cover gaskets or you will end up doing them again ;)
-
yeah, im gonna use all genuine gaskets, really cant be fu(ked to take it all apart again lol, too much work involved

Got a twin outlet Omega elite exhaust here...not sure if genuine yet or not...
-

have you thought of welding the diff? would mean it was always locked but is an alternative to and LSD.
-

well that depends how you look at it! ha ha naa if your drifing slowly you wouldnt notice any diffrence, apart from the chirpping from good lsd.

What about rear tyre wear with a locked diff?
-
Certainly servicable, cars running and no sounds from exhaust at all...will be able to check for sure when its off but looks good from what I can see...£50 delivered...
-
will let you know chris, early next week if thats ok with you ;)
-
Thats fine mate, it will be off the car over the weekend so will be able to let you know if its genuine and its condition for certain then too...

I wouldn't regard a welded diff as roadworthy. :o
If anything ever happened and an insurance assessor found it... :(

i know loads of people who use mig spec diffs on their daily drivers without any problems.
Have you considered changing the engine mounts?
-
what benifit would changing engine mounts have?
-
Ive not change the omega mounts yet, but when i replaced the engine mounts on my previous car it made it feel like a new car. Everything felt tight again, throttle response was better etc.
I cant comment on yours but on my '95 110K miles omega the mounts have definetley seen better days.
