Hi folks, theres a lot of talk on the forum about crank sensors. How long to they last, I mean what millage or age. Just looking for an idea in when I might need to change my one?

If we knew the answer to THAT we would all be rich !!! They seem to fail as and when they want !! Some folks now carry a spare when on a long trip ( :) ). The original is "wired-in" - on the V6 anyway - in such a way as to pass pretty close to some very hot stuff, some think this is what causes the failures, so a new one has to be re-routed. There is a guide in the maintenance section with reccomendations.
The "bottom end" is pretty easy to get to, but the plug at the top is tricky - there are also 2 types of plug - you need to have the right one - a visual check is the ONLY way to know which one you have.
