hi all
in the middle of doing the oil cooler, thermostat taken forever so far.
the bolt that holds the dipstick, coolant transfer pipe and some kind of clip together, is this essential as i have spent hours trying to get it back on and after dropping it a thousand times i have now lost it deep within the engine bay somewhere. ditto for the collar that goes round it.
i am here with my car in bits outside not sure what to do next so if anyone could help i would be really grateful
thanks in advance

Had the same fun and games doing Kates car at Timbuks a few weeks ago...
Recheck the order of the three components you are trying to bolt together....
The transfer pipe flange goes in, I think, the middle and not the first (nearest the block) order of things!
(if I recall correctly.... Its an age thing... :-[ )

lifting lug nearest head the dipstick pipe then coolant transfer pipe and it is a right idiot to get in !! >:(

It is made alot easier to see if you move the power steering reservoir out of the way. just remove the 6mm bolt and simply move it out of the way. :y

hi all and many thanks for advice. what a nightmare. thankfully serek came to the rescue with eyesight beyond that of mere mortals and not only found the bolt but then fashioned a spacer out of a spare nut!
i owe you one! :y
i'm off to finish up now, fingers crossed all is well...
