Hello,
Last weekend I cleaned the throttle body, IAC and the small jet. Replaced the small breather pipe as well.
The car no longer stalls, but now, when I put the car in park, the revs go up and down wildly, ie, to almost 3000 then down to 500 and back again.
Any ideas?

some kind of air leak?

1)As 'The Boy' said, check for air leaks, especially the Vac pipes
to the Throttle Body.
2)Did you replace the gasket between the IACV and Throttle Body?
If not, replace the gasket and clean the mating surfaces.
3)Check that you haven't over tightened the 2 IACV mounting bolts and
partially stripped a thread
4)Check that the Butterfly is fully closing. That doesn't mean the
throttle linkage hitting the Stop. Someone might have tweaked
the Stop to crack open the Butterfly in an ill conceived attempt
to fix the symptom rather than the cause.

Gaskets replaced on IACV and throttle body.
Forgot to say that when going along the motorway this morning, the revs drop and rise, for example 2500 - 2000 - 2500 etc.

You would be surprised how often your throttle is closed when cruising
along a motorway. :)
So previous comments about air leaks (downstream of the MAF) and
checking the Butterfly is physically fully closing still stand.

IF its not an airleak then it sounds like a goosed lambda to me???
