Comming home on the motorway the other day, being nice and legal and frugal at about 65 mph, going up an incline, the cruise suddenly dropped out and now wont engage :(
I guess i need to check the pedal switches for continuity. The end of the bowden cable is still attached to the throttle body.
Any other bright ideas out there?
No error messages or warning lights.
Would it be advisable to replace with a 53 plate elite? ;D

A fuse blown perchance? :-?

Faulty stalk?

Had a very similar problem with my elite.I removed the cowling by steering wheel and found that the connector from the stalk had come slightly loose.Took apart and then pushed back tight ..all sorted and worked again..hope yours is also a simple fix.

check the bowden cable in the top of the actuator. slight chance it has disengaged

I've had poor stop lamp bulbs disable cruise control.

Also worth checking brake light switch and clutch switch if manual.
