Title: Im so gutted

i was really impressed i managed to change the HBV on my 2.5 V6 omega now was able to drive around without overheating...... WRONG drove to reading today car was fine on m/way but when i was drivin round normally red light came on had to pull over.
Im sure its the fan connected 2 the rad on the engine side cos i had 2 unplug it due to when it started up the whole engine was shaking like mad fan doesn't wobble but im curious why does it do this
Anyone got a solution to this

p.s stupid of me unplug fan but only way i can get around

Your car will overheat in stop/start traffic if you've disconnected
the main cooling fan.
It doesn't have the forced airflow through the radiator that you get
cruising on the motorway.

Ref the vibration, the fan isn't connected to the engine. If the engine
vibrates when the fan comes on, one likely cause is a massive load
being put on the alternator due to faulty fan motor or wiring.

With the engine switched off, and ignition off (for safety reasons, don't
want your pinkies chopped off  :) ), try spinning the fan by hand and
see if there's any resistance. It should spin fairly freely.

If not, replace the fan motor.

the fan does move freely...still got pinkies left ^^

so does this mean faulty wiring.... wanna be able to fix this myself as garages cost so much
