Check that they're plugged in correctly.

and wires to car loom end of plug !!
-
if it still shows after checking as above, try unplugging from the loom and shorting out the pins on the connector (car side) with paperclip or the like.
Do this on each side separately (when shorted the error message should go away) - that will tell you which side is playing up - it may be you have a faulty sensor.

on another note, i dont have any sensors fitted to my car, the wiring is there but nothing connected to the pads.
is it possible that somebody judt chopped them off or might they have never been fitted?
could i just buy teh sensor and it will work straight away? or will it need setting up?
Cheers

In my experience I am aware that the sensors can be worn away with the pads with excessive wear as I once had on a 3.0 Elite. The garage who did the work (highly respected locally) had to order and fit the sensors with the pads and then connect them up. It is possible that your sensors have gone the same way as mine did and you need to replace these. You will then be able to reconnect them to the system. :y

Well it may never have had them (no sure about cd - my cdx has them , but gls did not). One thing for sure is if you just remove them (or don't replace when they have worn) the MID warning will be showing. You need to short out the loom to get rid of the message. (There may be some tech2 trickery you can do as well.) Have a look up under the wheel arch and you may see the end of the loom and a connector clipped to the inner wing (next to the abs cable).
I would leave it be, assuming you inspect pads regularly - the sensors cost the same or more as new pads and are a minor pain to fit.

If no sensor on pads but wirings there & no warning message on MID, then wiring has been shorted out. Is you follow wiring back towards inner wing u should find a plug. If u unplug wiring should get low pad error on MID. If thats the case u can buy new sensors, fit to pads & plug in - job done.

Had new a 98R GLS as a company car - this had front pad sensors, and was bought as a std car (apart from better anti theft and fitted car phone system).

Back to "Juedu 2" disconnect plug/socket spray with WD40, then reconnect.
