Hi ed,
I hope to change my leads sometime this week this is how I intend to do it.
(1) take off wiper arms and remove the bulkhead.
(2) disconnect ecu and the two cables, remove the two bolts and move the cable tray on the right (as you look at the engine) over.
(3) One at a time pull each plug lead from it's plug then using a length of string tied to the lead pull it through to the dispac .
(4) Use the old lead to get the right length one from the new set then use the string to pull the new lead into place, then reconnect.
I know it seems long winded but at least if you do 1 plug at a time you won't get them mixed up.

I took of the scuttle panel and wipers, made it so much easier. Thought about taking plenum off, but no need. Though will need to move cable tray to one side and I found it helped to remove oil filler too.
Best to change one lead at time, one bank at a time.

Do 1 side at a time and then start up to make sure they are in correct order,,then move onto other side. The nearside is the most akward so I did it first, last time I changed them on last mega.I also have the job to do again but will be much easier ?? this time as doing cam gaskets at same time.

I did one side at a time. I don't see any need to start it up, if you change one lead at a time, but no harm in doing so.
I found it easier the second time round.
