Title: Leads on dis pack
Post by: CaptainZok on 18 May 2008, 20:54:17
just replaced my plug leads and the slight misfire I was trying to cure has got worse rather than better.
Dis is one of the horizontal types and leads are in with the ecu plug on the left
Top row 5 3 1
bottom row 2 6 4
Is this the correct order?
TIA

Captain - experience tells me that getting them in the wrong order causes a very sick almost stalling mis fire at idle....

Is yours so bad?

Was looking at that myself but the leads on mine seem to be swapped
531 and 264 wit hthe connector at the 25 end as Andy B says his are.
Loo-knee seems to have found a diagram of the modified dis which is the same as how mine was connected.
Ah well burning the midnight oil with the spanners again. :D

Cured it, the leads were on correctly but I had introduced another fault.
The pipe that heats the throttle body had filled no2 plugwell with water causing the misfire.
Blew it out with the airline and all was good.

Might be an idea mate, if they've been deep fried in oil the end of the leads tends to break down causing the misfiring. I'll post some pics of the state of mine tomorrow.
