Title: replacement key?

hi everyone, ive noticed that replacement batterys are so to be available in the oof shop :y

but i was wondering if it is possible to get replacement fobs ,(including blade) anywhere cheaper than vx?

Trouble is, new keys need programming to the car (which Marks_DTM and I can do if you have your carpass).

I can supply blank keys with the transponder, but not the fob (see ebay).

Trouble is, new keys need programming to the car (which Marks_DTM and I can do if you have your carpass).

I can supply blank keys with the transponder, but not the fob (see ebay).

i see the fobs on ebay but can you get second hand ones to work on your existing central locking, i ask as i only have 1 fob with car

Yes,you need to get the right type (just looking the same isn't enough), then get it programmed to the car via (real) Tech2 or similar.

The fob type are all the same Megamos ones.  The integrated type, on the flat bit on back of key says type. Hard to read, try different lights.

How can you get the pass code...if it is from vx does anyone know about how much it is....i too only have one key

Carpass from dealer - you normally need to take V5 in.  Charge varies from £15 to £50, so shop around a few dealers.

learner mechanic sorry to hijack your thread :o

TB if you can supply the blank and transponder and program it to the car, is is possible to get the fob at a later date and put the two parts together :question
