Post by: Arpy on 23 May 2008, 10:15:47
I have read a thread re checking the oil level but I seem a bit confused on how to jack up car could someone try and explain how I can check the level.
I do not have access to a ramp so I will be doing it on the road which is reasonbly flat

You need the car raised in the air but still level, so all 4 corners need to raised and supported before you can go under to check the level.

Engine running.

If the oil has been in there a while, expect a load to come oil (ATF expands as it breaks down).
