What id a DBW car ??
Drive By Wire ie no throttle cable, a throttle position switch on the pedal & on the throttle butterfly
Where is my alarm and where can I find the codes to get a new remote fob made ??

No idea where the actual alarm is but new fobs are done via a proper TechII.

Have you got the button to turn off the interior ultra sonics (top of B posts) with the picture of a man running away from 3 curved lines?

That would be a no !!! So its only an immobiliser then, som can i get a remote fob coded from the chip in my standard key ?
If so where can I get the nessesary bits please

I thought all Omegas had alarms :-/ Easy way to test.....leave a window open and lock it...........then try sticking yer arm thro the open window......loud noise goes off then yes you do ;D
Your 2.5 isnt DBW (only 2.2/2.6/3.2 are) so its a bit harder to install cruise but can be done :y
-
Reflection should have alarm and immobiliser as standard, mine did.
-
You do have a key with the buttons for the remote don't you?
-
The "powersounder" alarm is fitted drivers side bulkhead, you will need to remove the wiper arms, then the plastic scuttle to see it. The 'powersounder' has a inbuilt rechargeable battery which after a few years stops recharging but sets of the alarm intermittently to warn you it not "feeling very well", so most people just disconnect the wires, the alarm/imoblizer still works but "without noise.
For your key, sorry "main dealer only".
Facelift Omega's have DBW, my '98 Elite is cable.
Good luck

1998 models should have integrated remote fob - are you saying yours is just a normal key? Is the last letter of VIN a W (1998 model) or V (1997 model)?

Its a W, and i think im just missing the key, was only given the one normal key when I bought the car, Where do I go from here then to get a new remote fob ??
I was contemplating buying a new Remote ECU with keys, theres a few for sale on Flebay..

The fob make needs to match the technology (ie, rf or ir) and make of the alarm ecu (or central door looking ecu if no alarm fitted). It also need to be 2 button.
It is likely to be Megamos, but you need to double check...

Does your existing car have side airbags? If so, (sticking my neck on the line here!) I think it's all plug and play. Obviously if you don't have airbags it's probable you don't have the wiring either so they won't work. BUT, if it all works out, remember to disconnect the battery and leave the car a good half hour to discharge airbags and to ensure no airbag warning light is present next time you switch on the ignition.
You've already bought em now anyway, it's a bit late to ask! hehe! I would have a friend and an extra pair of hands at the ready to lift the seats, i'm guessing they're rather heavy. Plus, there's the other matter of electrical adjustment?
I thought all Omegas had alarms :-/
The facelift GLS models don't TD. Just about all decent sized vauxhalls after '95 have an immobiliser though.

Nope my car dont have the side airbags, so there gonna be spare if anyone needs them.. Im hoping there all gonna fit inside my Ibiza to transport them down the road to work hahaha or there going on the roof !!!

the front seats are a fair old weight, please be aware as it would be easy to put our back out
check the coloured multiplugs that you will find on the outside of the seas if they are all the same then they should fit no problems
