Title: new oil cooler old muck

Iv just replaced the oil cooler , I flushed out the water but how much mao would you expect to find in the filler tank , I was surprised to find lodes of mao back in the filler tank
How many flushes before you find the tank not as full of mao as it was be for the oil cooler change

When I did mine I replaced the coolant bottle and flushed the cooling system for weeks before the water ran clear.

I've been flushing since March, and I still get som gunk:(

so after one flush the filler tank can be full of mao  .

Try using some Forte in it, I went through 3 bottles, it will clear after a while :y

you will need at least 20 flushes....

When i did my O/C i used wynns rad flush left it in system for bout 50 miles flushed out with hose all clear now.

Is it worth worth putting wyns or similar products in the oil before an oil change to stop this problem, I keep hearing conflicking information regards these things and therefore have stayed well clear.
