3 of the 4 bolts holding the 2 cats onto the car I'm breaking are stuck on like they are welded (tbh most of the bolts on the underneath of the car seem to be!) Tried WD40 and leaving it to soak overnight and still stuck...any thoughts on how to help release them???

Heat, best would be oxy aceteline. If you can get them red hot they should shift.

Have you got a compressor with the hammer gun tool.
Just keep going from loosen to tighten for 1/4 of a turn and it might just crack the rust to clean the thread enough to get it started.

chisel the nuts off and replace with new.... easier in the longer run, imho.

WD40 is not that good as a penetrating lubricant either. Try using Plus Gas instead. :y
Give it a good soaking every so often for a few days as it can take time to work its way in. Use in combination with heat as well if necessary.

I think your message is falling on deaf ears Kevin! ;) As you keep trying to edumacate the forum, WD40 by its very name is a water displacer! Plus Gas & Easit are penetrating fluids. ;D ;D :y :y
