Hi all
My car developes a rattle and a squeeking when driving from the back passenger side ... it only does it when warmed up and i thought it was coming from the exhaust possibly fouling on something underneath ... ive had the car at several garages who " cant find anything wrong " .. however im convinced its the exhaust , i had the car idleing tonight so i opened the boot and bounced it up and down and sure enough the squeek was there ....is there anything else in that area that when gets warm can rattle and squeek i can check before it does my head in :-/
Cheers

Perhaps sitting in the "normal" seat .. front right ... might help ?? :)
;D ;D ;D
On a serious note, there was a post weeks back in which a "fix" to a bracket under the back seat was mentioned, I believe it came from a TIS entry ... someone with more knowledge of TIS might be able to asisst shortly ..

When i was bouncing the rear of the car it sounded like it was under the boot at the left side .... but why only when warm ....
and yes i must try sitting in the normal drivers seat :y

Mine does too. and my head in. :'(
I got under the car (under the boot) and pulled up and down on everything. On mine it seemed to be the large wishbone shaped chassis arm that is in the dead centre of the rear. gave it some wd40 but squek is still there.
:-?

Oh it really spoils my enjoyment of driving the car ... goes away if the radio is loud enough though :D

okies .. I've found the TIS reference .. but can't copy and paste from TIS
But there is a known problem and solution .. might help .. not sure .. I'll try a couple of screen grabs then post them .. will take about 5-10 minutes .. :)
Edit .. make that 30 minutes .. me dinners ready :(

If in doubt give it a clout :y

Thanks for forwarding, entwood; this seems a good prospect for curing my occasional "am I sitting in a bus?" vibration-at-idle problem. :y
Already cured two annoying rattles. Killing this last one, along with swapping out the aftermarket exhaust for a genuine, should return the car to silent swoosh mode.

Thanks entwood , i will give that a try :y
