Title: climate control panel

changed my climate panel today because it was naff
got 1 out of a miggy that was working it will not reset
have i got to have it tech 2? or is there something i am missing?  :'(

Press and hold OFF and AUTO at the same time for 10 seconds

If I am wrong one of the other members will corrent me.

Sorry matey, dont have a clue then.

As a matter of interst have you checked the fuses to make sure that none have blown.

connectors pushed fully home? is it alive at all (lights on, sampling fan running...?)

As said some more details about the original fault, and the symptoms it now has would be useful..

Also, did the panel come off same body style (ie saloon/estate)?

right sorry to take so long to answer
1 the 1 i took out of my car sampling fan was not working
2 got 1 out of a car same spec as mine which was working
took my 1 out as to jamies thread and put the other in its place
the fan is working from 1 to 9 like it should but ican,t change were the air comes out fromand also there is no hot air blowing out wotever the dials read and it will not reset hope thats enough information

bit of a update when i turned ignition off noticed the 2 outer dials

the temp ones showed two straight little lines

Its stored a fault if you get -- for a few secs on switch off...

Tech2 would tell you what it thinks is wrong....

if it was all perfect before i took it out
any ideas wot it could be and if i got another panel would the fault code stoppit from working proply

Without knowing the fault its complaining about, I cannot begin to make suggestions, other than check all connections are firmly home, and no bent pins

could it be the resistor pack on the side of the heater unit

went out there today had the panel out again and found that the sampler fan was jammed for one and also after changing fan
found the yellow multi plug was loose and not making contact
rectified that and every thing seems to be hunky doori :yexept
when you turn ignition off you still get little straight lines coming up
can that be taken out by tech 2 later? and thanks for all the response to this thread

If its working, I would suspect they are old codes. Not sure if they clear on their own after a while, or if they need to be cleared with Tech2
