Has anyone experienced sticky gas pedal on a V6 (2.5 in my case). What’s the reason and how to cure it? Very annoying - can’t drive smoothly. Thanks

accelerater cable mate only thing it can be unless your throttle body is proper caked in black gunge !! :(

Thanks Mark. Throttle body cleaned recently. Is there a specific point on the cable where it happens? Are they known to snap on these cars?

never had one snap but have had the plastic coating on the cable start to come away and make it stiff !! :y both exposed ends are suspect :y

Am asking this cause have had a bad experience with Renault clutch-cables in the past (on rhd cars). Wouldn’t like to have something similar on this car. It does seem to be coming from pedal end of the cable. The other end is in good shape. How can I fix this apart from replacing the cable?

Plenty of the old WD on each end I would say? Guessing it's the pedal end, get your head right in there to have a look, don't spray your eyes mind!
