Title: heating & air con

I seem to have lost all control of the heating & air con on my 98 elite 3.0l auto. fuses ok, will blow but no heat or air con, help please. thanks. also the steering seems to wander, any idea`s.

Air con .. try a reset .. with the engine running press andhold Auto + Off for 10 seconds .. you should hear the servos all cycle and the fan stops / restarts.

If this doesnt cure it you may have lost a vacuum pipe off the back somewhere .. it is all vacuum controlled.

Wandering steering could be anything from bad tyres to steering box, and all the bits inbetween ... .. I leave that to others more knowledgeable than I

thanks for the advice, however on closer investigation i found the HBV missing & the pipes blancked off  :-/ good one eh, the guy that sold it me said the heating had only just packed up, ha ha, wot a porky. HBV valves dont take themselves off. must give him a bad rating on ebay.
