The heater blower motor is on its way out so I went to a Vauxhall breakers and he said he needs to see, touch and vertually taste the motor to tell me if the replacement will fit.
Does anyone know if my Omega has a special type of heater blower or would one from another Vauxhall (Astra or something) be okay?
Mines a V6 2.5 CDX on a W plate.
Has anybody got a motor to sell as well please?
Thankyou,
Darren.

Only one type of motor fitted......that I am aware of!
What are the symptoms for failure?
-
The bearings I think as the faster the setting the noisier it becomes, also, The passenger airbag vibrates.

It will have lost a balance weight off one of the blades then........
Will keep going but as you say it will be noisey and vibrate.....
For my 2.2 there were two different types.......But i got lucky and one from a 2.0 fitted, the motors are the same i think, its the plastic surround that varies.
I'll try to find more info for you........

As I already have the existing housing then would either motor fit into it or is the motor compete with the housing?
Thanks for your help.

Best I could come up with.........i carnt remember how i found out an early 2.0L one would fit mine.......the later 2.0 doesnt apparently.
As said before i think its the plastics that are different........however it may be possible to swap the plastics over :y
