hi all,
i have just changed my front pads.passenger side pads worn evenly,drivers side inboard pad won down near to metal,outboard pad ok.
put new pads in and now i have a brake judder at speeds over 60mph.
could i have a sticky piston? pistons did seem to push back ok when i put the pads in.

Uneven pad wear between pads in the same caliper is usually due to the sliding parts of the caliper not sliding. Wire brush/file/clean up all contact areas & put a dab of copperslip there.

You can also check the discs jusy in case they are twisted but be sure to clean the sliders as well

Personally wouls say check the disc's aren't warped..
If they are around £70 with pads from Vauxhall if you have a trade Club Card :y

are they genuine parts or form a local shop cos some pads r a bit on the hard side for such a big car m8 found that out with my mondeo a few months back

Note please copper slip is not a lubricant. >:(
Use grease, for metal sliding components, usually in a rubber boot,on calipers.
copper slip for clamped areas like discs to hubs,wheels to discs,and bolt threads, if you use copper slip on lubable parts they will dry out and seaze. grrrrr

uneven pad wear def slider sticking not allowing the caliper to centre on the disc
I had disc judder under breaking after fitting new discs and not cleaning the mating surfaces properly, but you only changed the pads :-/

its quite common i.m affraid. :-?

my migs brakes were juddering had seized sliders unseized them and the brakes still juddered and made humming noises and over heated
so i bought 4 x Mintex discs and GM pads and handbrake shoes and renewed the lot
fixed it now and the brakes are alot better

Is there a slider replacent kit available, and if so, how much.?

Damn! That's what I've been doing wrong for the last 20 years! :-/
I use Castrol LM on the pins, as its a high temp grease ;)
