Title: 2.0 abs ecu,remove alarm sounder,cam belt
Post by: feeutfo on 27 June 2008, 18:53:26
working on a 2.0 this weekend. Cam belt and chop out alarm power sounder(he dont want to pay to sort it and alarm is driving him up the wall).have seen posts on here that a v6 abs ecu is under the battery holder, presumably koz no room with the big lump. i am also presuming the 2.0 is alot easier to get at and no need to go digging around under the battery? Got to send it off for a recon, its breaked. Any advice on any of the above?
Its a 99 2.0 cdx face lift.

Thanks in advance.

Look at the positive terminal of the battery - open the large part of the plastic container that covers it and the ecu will be in there.  You will see relays next to it.  It's inserted vertically, should be obvious.

sorry, should have been more clear. I ment the abs ecu. Or the ecu that controles the abs, not the ecu controles the engine management.
