Title: Strange thing in the boot
Post by: Dusty on 30 June 2008, 19:08:22
Can anybody tell me what the strange mechanism on the underside of the boot lid, on my 2.6?

It looks like a lever with a cable attached. Don't know what it does, can you help?

Thanks

sounds like the internal release lever --- so's you can reach in from the cabin and open the boot if switch gets stuck

I tried a piece of cord, tied around the handle, fed through past the LPG tank to behind the rear seat. Works great with the boot empty, but every time you load it then shut the lid, the cord drops down and tangles in the load.

I'm trying to work out a sort of retracting system using one of those retracting dog lead thingy's. Once I get something working I'll post it up !!
