Title: curious code 135 telltale (checklight) voltage low
Post by: addy on 01 July 2008, 23:19:09
code 135 telltale (checklight) voltage low.  I was wondering if this code has something to do with the little check message that appears in the bottom right of the computer display in the dash.  My check appears until I press the brake pedal or take the handbrake off.  Everything is ok on the car has I have had it serviced and checked.  Just wondering if anybody else has this or is it just one of those things.  Had code 19 which has since gone but now this one has appeared.  The check message has always been like it is since I bought the car but the code never showed up  in the paperclip test until now.  not worried just curious as to what it means :)

I had a load of codes like that after I removed my dash, and had the ignition on with it not reinserted properly, once cleared they did not return.

May be a similar issue.

135 is a code that does not seem to disappear on its own.

The CHECK light after starting but before pressing brake just means it hasn't tested brake light bulbs yet - I'm assuming yours is pre 1998, as later cars have a different msg on display

Hi TheBoy

Yes mine is a 1995 cdx auto, as you correctly say the Check light goes out after pressing the brake.

I was curious as to what it is refering to and how to remove this error code as it has only just appeared.  Could it be down to the fact that I disconnected the battery while sorting out the crank sensor?

As I said everything is working ok.

Thanks Adrian

You mean the 135 has just appeared? The usual causes for that are that someone has at some point removed eml to hide a problem, or switch ign on with dash out. But if its just appeared, I don't know.

The fact the EML works suggests nothing to worry about :)

When the crank sensor went the eml never came on. The bulb is working as I did the paperclip test and it flashed the code as I said.

Will keep trying the paperclip test and see if it vanishes.

Thanks anyway

19 rarely gives eml
