this question is for someone else who,s computer as crashed

how much and how easy is it to put new shells in 3.0 mini

facelift elite estate

Why do you think it needs shells? very rare to get big end problems with a Miggy V6 :-/

Big end problems sound like a dull thud or knock

how hard is it to do tappets ?

and would a good oil change rectify the noise?

tappet noise is down to poor servicing/very old oil and long changes (15/20K) fresh oil will help.

To do Tappets, plenum off, cambelt off, camcover off, cams out.  :y

Could it be something as simple as exhaust heatshields loose if its near the bottom of the engine?
