Title: stiff ignition key

hi

I,m new on the site I have an 03 omega 2.6 v6 cdx saloon and I sometimes have trouble turning the ignition key, does the barrel just need oiling.

and me. I lubed the lock with wd but that just made it easier to get the key in and out, actually turning the ignition made no differance.
 Is it just stiff and feels dry or does it  prevent you turning altogether sometimes?

sometimes it prevents me from turning it

Get this sorted out quickly as it will only get worse.  You need to be able to turn the key to get the barrel out (for cleaning/replacement) - you can see the catch22.. ;)  If you cant turn the key it means surgery to your steering column..

Do a search as this has been discussed several times before.

try easing the key out about a mm ...ie .. not pushing it fully in.. if it then turns OK it is probably just wear ... and no amount of lubing can overcome wear .. :(
