intend to service my 02 3.2 elite this weekend 69 k on the clock.
Would those that know please advise anything else that should be done, had the car about 6 weeks and was last serviced over a year ago.
AC re/gas done. No issues.
Oil and filter change done.
No receipt for the cam belt/aux belt, butvx dealer says done at 40k acc to records. So intend to do at 80k in about a year with my miles. (Trust them or do it to be sure?)
Change auto box oil both sumps.
Air, polen, fuel filter, change.
Brake fluid change check pads discs.
Coolant? Whats schedule?
Diff oil, whats schedule?(no need, thanks Ian)
Power steering fluid, (looks ok, scratch)
Lube door hinges.
Check lights/bulbs.
Check tyres/pressures.
Plugs (added, thanks nursey)
Scuttle drains done(added, thanks Ian)
Also bit of a step at 4k so check multi rams, any advise on this one. Have seen front one move while reving from engine bay on my old cdx no idea with one on plenum, what to look for?
Any advise greatly appreciated. Ta.
Edited. Oh and breathers. How could i forget. Bit of oil on left bank but its all over the loom cable near filler so i am hoping somebody was a bit clumsy filling it up.

Plugs? I would change the cambelt... but I am a paraniod individual. ;D
-
when was the cambelt done.it should be changed every 4 years.
-
I would say coolant every couple of years. But if you plan on doing the cambelt soon, do it then and change the waterpump at the same time. Schedule the plugs when you do the cambelt as the plenum will be off and access much easier.
power steering fluid - no need unless it looks crap
diff - ditto - check level though esp if signs of leaking seals. (I guess you could change it if the car's ha d a hard life - towing for example.
Clean out scuttle drains.

If you believe the dealer, at the last service 16 months ago, whats the odds they would send me the receipt? Could speak to previous owner i suppose.

Hi Ian, how you? Fellow redinite, in lower early me. Got your pm a while back, did reply but later found it in outbox, sent again a couple of times but still in outbox.must be doing it wrong.
Wo up, just twigged, its reading meet on sat, is'nt it? Will have to do what i can on sunday re service. See you there?
Will scratch dif and ps fluid( looks ok) and no tow bar and no leaks so should be ok i guess. Checked scuttle drains a week ago. Better check them again with all this bloody rain.
Thanks guys.

no paranoid... really cambelt is #1 job to do..if theres no receipt for a cambelt change I would strictly go for it..

other things to check
wishbones, shocks (and shock heads -dont know the original name sorry) , drop links,
change o-rings under plenum ( as they become old they can leak -they are cheap)
and change the radiator plastic hose (upper big one -as it can break and let you on the road)
-
I would change the cam belt if you have no proof. It's due in 10k anyway so worth it for the peace of mind IMHO.

Change the cambelt for peace of mind. :y

What's the point of cahnging the water pump with the cambelt? I think I've still got the original pump, friends 2,5 had cambelt done by Opel last week and they changed the pump. It is not driven by cambelt, so why to change? They are not that weak that they should be replaced just in case...
-
for £25 on trade club while your in there might as well cause if it goes it will take cambelt even though its driven by it !!! :y

Yes, makes sense...
