mech asking what temp do you check the atf level? Its on the ramp at the moment. Cheers.

Did mine cold initially, then warm after a drive to get some more in.

cheers jimbob, he measured it with infared thermometer at 50 degrees c :-/with engine running and did the level plug up, having engaged all the gears. it was still dribbling a bit but i was fine with that tbh. job done :y
or should i get him to check it end of next week to be sure???

yep. got that, thankyou. :y He was looking for what temp. to "mesure" the level of the new new oil! :-/ shold have made that more clear, sorry. :-[To me tho, provided the box has sucked up all it is going to, surely the added oil will be at a standing temp. and will be measured as is when poored in? in other words poor it in, engage all gears, top up to hole and job done. Is the temp. important at that stage? :-?
