Check Oil cooler for water brown gunk

if its done over 80k check that the crankshaft sensor has been renewed  as itll need doing soonish

also if its done 120kish check the DIS pack has been replaced as they will be on there way out by this mileage

ohh and the heater bypass valve see if thats been changed

other than that its the normal car things the v6s are quite reliable !

there is a buyers guide on the forum somewhere

The main ones on the V6 are coolant leaks, oil in plug wells, and cambelt changes...

wish bones youll be aware of.foot on wheel and push, forward and back.
ANY play knock him down.

water leaks in the v, from oil cooler cover and t stat, you should be able to see a bit under the plenum, between the 2 air intakes and left side behind throttle cable with a small torch. any wet pink or furry deposits knock him down.

pull a plug lead, on both sides if you can, and check for oil again knock him down.

oil in water/header tank. oil cooler gone k/down or walk :-/

water in oil, white mayo on dip stick sludge in plenum(remove inlet to plenum,6/7/8mm :-/ jubilee clips ,there will be oily deposits tho) leg it head gaskit gone.

the rest you know :)
