What you need to do is buy a blank key blade (you can get one from fleebay) get the key cut for your car then you need to get your fob (with the chip inside) place this onto your key and that should be all. If this doesn't work then you need to get your key programmed, either by VX or TB or M DTM.

3 parts to a fully working key...

The Blade - these can be bought blank (from oof shop / ebay etc) and an autolocksmith can cut them to fit, or you can order them from vauxhall with the key number off your car pass, and it will be the right key.

The remote fob, can be picked up from ebay / or vauxhall, either way will need pairing to your car with tech2 or equivalent.

The transponder chip in the fob, normally comes with the fob, but are available separately, again need pairing to your car with tech2.

To get all this done at Vauxhall, you can be looking at up to £150!
oof shop sells the blanks for £10
fob off ebay : 3 on there at the mo from 99p to a tenner
TheBoy or Marks DTM Calib can do the tech2 work for £15-20
leaving just the physical key to be cut.

No, the bits slot together, just like they unslot when you change the battery

Yes, that should do the trick

Be aware that if you have a 3 button fob there are two different versions and they are not interchangeable.  >:(

I think one is Delphi Megamoss T-AM.

I know that every one that comes up on eBay is the wrong one for my car!
