If it's similar to my 98 2.5, remove secondary air injection controls to improve access. Slacken screws holding pulley to pump before removing belt, position belt well away from fluid leaks. Remove pulley.
Cover compressor and anything else to prevent oil damage, there will be fluid leaks. Undo hex pipe connection at front of pump before removing pump bolts. Struggle to gain access to pipe clip and remove flexible line to reservoir.
I believe there was another type of pump mount that involves removing the compressor to gain access to the PAS pump securing screws. Not tried that.

Yep, spot on.
Only thing to add would be to drain the reservoir first tog et as much oil out the system as possible.
Not a hard job to do at all on the V6

I seem to remember I needed all lengths of socket extension bars, also by removing the reservoir it gave more space.
