Hi all,
I've recently had an issue when a certain condition arises and it's this:
When I drive the Omega in a crawl situation - such as heavy traffic where I just stick it in drive and let it tick over, I get the TC and ABS light up on the dash.
I have noticed this over the last couple of days, and it doesn't seem to happen when I just drive off ?
most peculiar, so I was wondering if this was a known symptom.
Also, before I do a monster service on the car, would it be worth getting it to someone with a Tech 2 in order to give it a full medical?
I'm in surrey, so hoepfully there should be someone around.
I rand up my vx. dealer today for some prices of OEM service items! I was absolutely bowled over! coming from a honda accord I was just stunned happy! (honda accord front brake line = £75 +vat :o )
The car still drives alright when these two lights come on, but you never know with these things.

hi, thanks for the quick reply!
The Boy - It's a 1995 M reg 2.5 v6 CDX.
Entwood, thanks for the info! - i've just finished reading that very post and looked at the BBA site.
Whilst I'm on the subject, my driver side central locking is stiff when I try to open it with the Infr-red keyfob, but is fine when I use the driver door key.
It seem odd that the manual talks of the remote keyfob and IR fob as two separate units - can't see the point of the IR fob and a separate key if the remote fob with 2 buttons does the same job, but oh well.
When I use the IR fob, the driver door struggles so much that it locks the whole car other than that one!

Ah, less likely to be ECU then :y - might be worth getting TechI/II on it
CDL problem will be lazy motor in door

I'm guessing you should apply for a Trade Club card (usually through autobahn-stormers) for some really cheap vauxhall parts prices!.... still won't be a posh as your honda bits though ;D ;)

Cool!
What i'll do them is get the service and the mechanicals out of the way, as they all need doing (all filters and belts - thermostat, coolant, and oil change), and perhaps book it in with you for a tech 2 sesh if that's ok.

Sorry to be so thick, but...
where would one find the TC/ABS gubbins?
I've been staring in the engine bay for ages and bugger if I can find it!
And of course, the haynes comic doesn't ahve any exploded view diagrams of anything :'(
