can any one tell me where the fuel cut off reset switch is?? its a t plate 2.5 meega. mate has just broke down and got to go out to him, wont start at all and says he cant hear the fuel pump priming. cheers
-
don't think there is one, at least I've never discovered it.
check for fuel pressure at thr valve on the fuel rail - depressurise the fuel system by pressing it (shrader valve thing IIRC), then turn ignition on and recheck - if youve got fuel pressure back I don't think you have a fuel cutoff prob.

There is no fuel cut off reset switch on the omega, if it will not start is there A= fuel in tank
B= any eml lights on the dash
It does sound like it could be the crank senor has failed and that will stop fuel to the cylinders to prevent neat fuel getting to the cats.
get the codes read and if 19 appears it is the crank sensor.

just got back. engine turns over fine, cam belt intact. if i undo the fuel pipes in the engine bay and crank the engine no fuel at all comes thre, there is fuel in the tank. and there is no spark at all off any cylinder..he says its cut out on him twice befor while driving it (recently) but came to try it today and nothing. any suggestions???

Read the codes and see if there's anything indicating a failed crank sensor. Sounds likely.

ok mate. i thought it may be an immobiliser fault. is it correct if you crank the engine for more than 5 seconds the eml flashes if there is an immobiliser problem???
-
I believe EML will flash if the immobiliser hasn't been deactivated and if a crank sensor problem it's likely to remain off while cranking.

EML stays permanently on while cranking . ill have to dig out the tech2 thingy and laptop and see what it says..
