Post by: SP_3.2 on 27 July 2008, 17:28:19
Hi can anyone help since having now shocks and springs fited on Sat day i keep getting the Headlight ajustment coming up on the screen. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is as i think that i will have to check that and if there is anywhere eles to look at to fix this.

Many thanks

Think there's only one on yours - on nearside front wishbone - the arms probably popped out. On mini facelifts theres a second on nearside rear.

2 on myn. Both pass. side connected to the
wishbones/chasis. Probably popped out, re pack
with grease and push back in. But if it keeps on
happening probably needs a new one. The little rose joints
jam up, and that can pull the sensor out, which wears
as well, but hopefully they just knocked it and its
a one off, if youll pardon the pun.

Or thinking about it if its been up on a jack its probably
Been pulled off with the extended travel as the
wishbones drop from beyond their normal range.
Have a look but its probably seized and needs a new
One. Hope helps.

I've got the same problem on my 3.0 MV6 and have now tie wrapped the link into the main unit as a short term fix till I get a replacement.

Front one cost me £45 three years ago. Rear's probably the same part.
