Hi everybody. Help Help Help. :o
I have a Omega 2.5i.CD.Est. It has developed a problem where it will not start. when the key is turned the engine turns over but it will not start. I am a new Omega owner and do not know much about the mechanics of them - just learning. i used it all last week on holiday and it was Ok apart from one day where it did the same thing but after a while it started fine.
can anybody help as i am due to return to work this week ............. what a way to end your holiday ! :D

Hi done a paerclip test and it is showing codes 19 and 135 any ideas thanks jonpaull11 :)

19 means crank position sensor is giving bad signal. Unless the wiring is damaged or has been disturbed, the sensor needs to be changed.
Fairly straightforward to replace, finding the connector might be a fiddleand you need visually to identify the type before buying the replacement.

Buy a genuine Vaux replacement crank sensor mate...they last a lot longer, some copy crank sensors are faulty right out of the box...
One end is down by the oil filter...trace it back up...cut off the ends leaving the wire there and route the new lead away from any exhaust parts...
